Anyways, going back to your opinion on the performance, Chelsea simply cannot allow a team like Barnsley to press us all over the pitch and surrender to the pressure. We should be beating the press and moving forwards. We were not aggressive in this game. We didn't show enough quality last night. Tuchel can study all the videos he wants and employ any fancy tactic from his play book but the bottom line is that these players are not playing with any level of commitment for the badge. I said the same about these players even under Lampard. A manager can only have so much of an influence on the players. But they have to be reminded who is boss. Any player who lets his standards slip should be dropped from the team and the manager should be given time to work his magic on the players. That's why I was so keen to back Lampard even when we had a lapse in form. Don't expect magic from Tuchel or anyone who walks into the job. There is a mentality issue because this club is too quick to make the managers scapegoats here. You may be the biggest Tuchel fan and maybe you're right about his managerial capabilities. Maybe he could be one of the greatest ever Chelsea managers but do you honestly believe that this incompetent and immature board will back him? Do you really think that Tuchel will get his transfer targets in the summer? I'm not optimistic after seeing how recent seasons have turned out. I can't praise the performance last night because it was rubbish and us fans simply need to demand a higher standard of football. That's why I say back the manager and give him some time, whether it's Lampard or Tuchel or anybody who becomes the Chelsea gaffer. I have no agendas mate nor do I actually hold a grudge against you.
