After clinching Copa America 2019 with Brazil, Alves has become the most successful player in history with 43 trophies. This has given us the motivation to talk about the players who have already won the most trophies in football history.
We are going to give you a Top 5 list of the names that have the highest number of collective titles for both club and country.
4. Lionel Messi – 34 titles
The Argentine star is destined to become one of the most successful players in football history at club level.
Leo hasn’t been lucky with the Argentina National Team after losing a total of three consecutive finals between World Cup and Copa America from 2014 to 2016.
However, Barcelona has already brought Leo Messi a total of 34 titles.
The most important titles the Argentine has won so far are the 4 UEFA Champions League titles and the 10 La Liga trophies with the Catalan club.
4. Ryan Giggs – 34 titles
The Red Devils’ skipper is the only player from this list who doesn’t have a past as a Blaugrana and the only Brit who made the Top 5.
A total of 24 seasons straight as a player for Manchester United is more than enough for Ryan Giggs to have won an impressive 34 titles with the English giants.
3. Andres Iniesta – 35 titles
We have one of Spain and Barcelona’s biggest legends in the second position of this list.
The midfielder from Fuentealbilla is the man responsible for Spain’s only World Cup conquest and he was also essential for Spain’s two consecutive European Championships in 2008 and 2012.
Andres was one of the main pillars for that historic FC Barcelona squad that won 4 UEFA Champions League trophies but he is now retired from European football.
Today, Iniesta is living his retirement years at Vissel Kobe from the Japanese League.
2. Maxwell – 37 titles
He had a prolific career in four different European countries with massive clubs. The first experience he had was with one of Ajax’s greatest generations of the new millennium.
The full-back played with the Dutch squad for five straight seasons and won two Eredivisie titles.
Maxwell moved to Internazionale Milano on the same year that Italian football suffered that massive match-fixing scandal that benefited his new club.
The player won three consecutive Serie A titles and then moved to Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona.
Maxwell won another two La Liga titles and the only Champions League trophy of his career with the Catalan club.
He finally moved to Paris Saint-Germain to win another four consecutive Ligue 1 titles amongst several other trophies.
1. Dani Alves – 43 titles
An absolute globetrotter in world football, 36-year old Dani Alves already is the most successful player in football history but he is still winning collective trophies.
The most prolific time he lived was at Barcelona, where Alves won a total of 23 titles throughout 8 seasons.
Can you think of another player with a high number of collective titles as a professional that could be part of this list? Please share your opinion in comments.

He started in hard league called EPL, later then went to Spanish capital that's dominate by Barcelona, and still continue his journey to Italian, Compared him to the person that started in Laliga Serie A or ligue 1. Collectively, Ronaldo has won between 29 and 31 trophies in his career,[b]including six league titles, five European Cups and one European Championship. He has also attained 16 titles from friendly competitions. All in all he had won over 300 trophies and medals by May 2019, with some of them dating back to his childhood.[7]

Why are we on this platform exchanging provoking and abusive words to one another in favour of MESSI, RONALDO, etc? success in their career, the main question is how much success have you and I made in our careers just as their also there making it for their families. Please remember "we are just FANS" not those to inherit the success of above HEROES.

But then again, football is a team sport, so this statistic isn’t really relevant. Does this mean that Alves is better than Ronaldo? Of course not. Alves just played in top clubs, and made use of that.

How can Messi be the Goat? He only played in la liga all his life. He is afraid of challenges. Messi is Barca goat no doubt. No achievements outside Barca. In Argentina Messi is just like any player. Aguero in Argentina is better than Messi. Ronaldo loves pressure and challenges , he has played in 3 or 4 leagues and Triumphs what else . With a little pressure Messi Fades away. Ronaldo is a leader Messi is not. Tell me a country with more stars than Argentina? How n the World Cup Messi could only manage a goal against Nigeria. Ronaldo In the World Cup score all the goal his country scored in the World Cup 4. Messi is good but not as good as Ronaldo.
