Manchester United returned to winning ways in the Premier League as they recorded a 3-0 victory away at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening.

Cristiano Ronaldo led from the front for Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer's side, as he followed up a magnificent first-half volley with the assist for Edinson Cavani's second-half strike, before Marcus Rashford made it three late on.

A quiet first half burst into life after 39 minutes, as an inch-perfect Bruno Fernandes cross was met by Ronaldo, who lashed home an unstoppable volley into the far corner.

The visitors extended their lead after 64 minutes as Cavani latched onto Ronaldo's through ball before lifting the ball over Hugo Lloris.

Second-half substitute Rashford then completed the scoring, as he beat the offside trap to slot past Lloris.

United will be looking to build on this momentum in a pivotal week ahead, as they face a trip to Atalanta on Tuesday evening before welcoming Manchester City to Old Trafford on Saturday.
