Bryan Gil has laughed off suggestions that he wanted to leave Tottenham 'at all costs' this month.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a loan move back to Spain in the January window with Spurs looking to provide him with more minutes after they were dumped out of the Europa Conference League before Christmas, leaving much-needed minutes hard to come by.

He is yet to nail down a starting spot under Antonio Conte at Spurs and Sportsmail understands that Valencia were wanting to sign him on loan for the rest of the season.

Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo also went on to claim that Real Sociedad had thrown their hat in the ring to sign Gil, before going on to report that the winger wanted to leave the north London club 'at all costs' this month.

The report also stated that Gil was 'struggling to adapt to life in England' and that he was 'not happy' at Spurs.

An hour after the article was posted, Gil took to Twitter to laugh off the claims while questioning the article.

The winger simply tweeted four question marks followed by a laughing emoji directly to the source.

While Gil has rubbished claims that he is unhappy with life at Tottenham, a loan move could still be on the cards for the Spain international should Adama Traore complete his permanent move from Wolves.

Gil's first-team opportunities could dwindle further following the potential arrival of Traore, which would therefore see the 20-year-old look to leave on loan to get more minutes under his belt.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Valencia are pushing to sign Gil on loan but Tottenham have not yet decided whether to let him go or not.

Additionally, Nice have registered an interest in signing Gil on loan - but it is unlikely a permanent option will be written into the deal, according to L’Equipe.

Despite making most of his appearances from the bench, Tottenham are confident the 20-year-old Spaniard will succeed at the club in the long term.

Nevertheless, Gil has scored one goal and registering one assist during the 19 appearances he has made so far this term.
