To the Nigerian fans, when it comes to choosing best players, a lot of sentiments come in. you could be right , bemoaning the absence of your own greats on the list. but if we consider it on returns and what to show for one's playing days, names like J.J. Okocha should be rightly omitted, unfortunately. Kanu, on the other hand, cannot displace any of the names there... is it Toure, Eto'o or Drogba, yet, one may argue that Drogba didn't win a national trophy. still, he has more wares and stats than Kanu. Okocha was a big loss to Africa because he was not business minded. it's a shame that one on one, he's among the likes of Zidane, Ronaldinho, Beckham... but the young man decided to hang around minors that weren't challenging for honours... he can't be there. In the recent time that Yaya Toure was amassing all the annual awards, there was no one actually mounting a serious challenge. Mikel Obi (another loss in a way) was not consistent. even if he too had the three major titles plus the 2013 Afcon, he couldn't beat Toure to be African best. we need to understand this for me then, I'll choose 1. George Weah 2. Samuel Etoo 3. Didier Drogba 4. Roger Miller

It's the first time in a while where I'm not too informed of all the names but I do recognise the biggest ones that I know at least without bias. My urges make me want to put Drogba top cos not just favourite African llayer but also one of my favourites but I'm trying to be as unbiased as I can in establishing the list. 1. Weah 2. Eto'o 3. Drogba 4. Milla 5. Pele (Abedi)
