Real Valladolid face a race against time to get their stadium ready for the visit of Barcelona next Saturday in the second round of LaLiga Santander action.
It is the first home game for the newly promoted side yet four days before the game, the grass hasn't even been laid over the entirety of the playing surface and there is still work to be done in the stands.
At the Castillian club, nobody doubts that everything will be ready for the visit of the league champions on Saturday.
"Hopefully it is ready, tickets will be all sold on Tuesday and I hope that we don't have to go to play somewhere else," club president Carlos Suarez said.
"I do believe that everything will be sorted in the end and on Thursday, the team can train on the pitch for a while."
There is a concern that the club could have asked LaLiga for permission to play their first few games away from the Estadio Jose Zorrilla, with permission being granted in similar circumstances for Real Sociedad and Huesca.

this kind of games should be left for our new signings, Messi and Co., especially frustrating suarez should just be watching from the dugout.
Did you forget last season Girona stunned Atlitico Madrid and Real madrid...? They are in laliga because they were best in domestic season and thats the reason they are in primera devision.. [Spittongue]

I hope the playing surface doesn't limit us playing our game, and no injuries sustained by our players from playing on such poor pitch. Most important is that we thrash them.
