Arturo Vidal recreated Phil Jones' ridiculous header with the ball on the ground as he put his neck on the line during Barcelona's draw.

Ernesto Valverde's side were held to a goalless draw by Slavia Prague in the Champions League group stage on Tuesday night.

During the clash at the Nou Camp, Vidal took a leaf out of Manchester United defender Jones' book by heading the ball on the floor.

The official Instagram account for the UEFA Champions League posted Vidal's attempt following the match with the caption: 'There was only one way Vidal could keep the move alive... This HAD to be Skill of the Day.'

In fact, Vidal's effort was equally as unique as Jones' tackle on Olivier Giroud with his head during United's clash with Arsenal four years ago.

The United defender lost his balance when chasing down Gunners forward Olivier Giroud, but rather than give up on the tackle, Jones managed to make a sprawling challenge with his head.

'He's doing breaststroke, front crawl, headbutting the floor,' said Neville during his commentary as Jones struggled to get back to his feet.

The 23-year-old even managed to win a goal kick for his side by heading the ball back off Giroud's left foot, all while being completely horizontal.

Vidal's headed effort on the turf turned out to be a pass to Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi.
