Vinicius' love for Real Madrid: You kiss the badge, you don't step on it

Vinicius Junior makes sure to point and kiss Real Madrid's badge after every goal he scores, as he makes his love for the club clear.

The 21-year-old may have been born may have been born in Rio de Janeiro, but you could easily think that he is from the city of Madrid due to the passion he clearly has for Los Blancos.

It is a similar story with Rodrygo Goes, who adores Real Madrid, and the club have made a point of ensuring that their young signings have this feeling inside.

The Real Madrid fans know that Vinicius cares deeply about the club, as shown by the fact that he has turned down all of the offers from elsewhere that he has received.

In addition, he has not asked for a pay rise in four years, despite being one of the lowest-paid players in the first-team squad. Vinicius has made it clear to Real Madrid that there will be no issues when it comes to his renewal, too.

The Brazilian agreed to wait until the end of the season to begin negotiations over a new deal, as Real Madrid focus their efforts on trying to bring Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to the club.

Rather than be fearful about more Galactico-style players arriving, Vinicius is open to it; he wants to play with the best.

Florentino Perez loves Vinicius

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has been one of Vinicius' most vocal supporters, and he is one of his most beloved players.

Part of the reason is down to the moments like we saw during Los Blancos' 4-1 victory against Valencia, in which he scored two goals but also made a point of not stepping on Real Madrid's badge as he was forced to run onto the sideline.

Rather than walk on the badge, Vinicius made a point of doing a big jump to avoid stepping on Real Madrid's badge.

"You kiss Madrid's badge, you don't step on it," says Vinicius.

It was an instinctive gesture, something he did unconsciously, but it shows his love and respect for the club. He does the same when he plays for Brazil, as he makes an effort to not step on the Selecao's crest.
