Sunderland hosted Leeds United in the 9th round of the Champions League. In the sixth minute of stoppage time, the ball bounced straight towards Meslier, but amazingly he allowed it to go straight through his hands and legs.

After this big mistake, Meslier stays much further away from the French national team as the 24-year-old star once was regarded as a powerful competitor for the NO.1 GK of France.

Extremely controversial, Meslier talks and laughs with Sunderland's coach Regis Le Bris who is his former Lorient coach after the game.
