Kashima Antlers boss Go Oiwa believes his side can stun European champions Real Madrid in their Club World Cup semi-final.
The AFC Champions League holders defeated Guadalajara of Mexico 3-2 on Saturday to set-up a last four showdown against Santiago Solari’s side.
“Madrid are Madrid, but we believe we can do something important,” Go Oiwa told reporters, as cited by Diario AS.
“Against Madrid we must be solid and aggressive, we already know what we can do to win here and we showed that fighting spirit against Chivas de Guadalajara.
“We can see what formula works, using the experienced players who can help the younger players and we can have a compact team.
“This is a massive opportunity for our club, we know we can win and we will show a fighting spirit.”
