Paulo Dybala branded Manchester United one of the 'historic clubs' months before talks began over a move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United are in talks with Juventus over a deal for the Argentine, which could see Romelu Lukaku move in the opposite direction.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is an admirer of the Argentine, who he believes has the ability to unlock defences at Old Trafford.
Dybala appears to be as equally as fond of United and lauded the club last year ahead of Juventus' clash with the Red Devils in the Champions League.
He also took to Twitter on the eve of the clash at Old Trafford to express his awe at taking to the hallowed turf.
He tweeted: "The Theatre of #Dreams: To play in such historical stadiums you have to do a lot of sacrifices as a boy!"
Dybala would go on to score the only goal of that encounter as Juventus won 1-0 at Old Trafford.
United would get revenge on the Serie A champions as they won 2-1 in Turin but neither side would make the latter stages of the competition.

if we get dybala, we will potentially be solving multiple problems in one go: our weak areas: central attacking mf: personally though I think pogba can play this role, hes used more like a no 8 than a no 10. dybala can play that position since the only other no 10 we have is mata who as much as I love is getting older (lingard is not good enough to be a no 10). right winger: I don't want to state the obvious. we all know this is our weakest area in attack. dybala can play on the right too (and James can come in for either him or martial/rashford to fill in either flank as a super sub/rotations). and ofcourse, he can play as a striker. we can form a deadly versatile trident/quadrant (depending on formation) with rash Tony and dybala (james Chong and Gomes should be given more on the bench opportunities this season to jell with main team). but I think mason is ready. PLEASE GET DYBALA! ps: I still love you lukaku. you are massively underrated, especially by those who think ONLY first touch is football. you have saved us more than the other forwards even if they are more technically gifted and agile. so thank you big rom you freak of an animal!
