Advantages sure I have a few: 1..makes players run to referees a lot 2..Stops the game so players can complain 3...Gives us false assurance so at least we know it’s there though no penalty 4...Gives us definition of bullshit 5...Allows us to focus more on penalties,fouls,handballs not given than the boring game of football. 6..stops the game to tell us the obvious while rejecting the other obvious

Advantages of VAR; 1. Tries to ensure that players play fairly. 2. Helps to reduce referee errors in goal decisions. 3. Aids referees over issues they may not have seen such as penalty calls. 4. Guards against cheating referees. and assistants. Disadvantages of VAR are.... 1. The system is heavily open to abuse, since officials have teams they favour. E.g. United vs Pool at Old Trafford, Pool vs City at Anfield. 2. VAR is amazingly and annoyingly sluggish. For all the screams that it's technology at work, one gets the feeling it's abacus at work. 3. VAR has no ironclad guidelines for goal and penalty decisions. 4. VAR removes the excitement of the moment in football. See, a sport like football has inbuilt controversies if uhhh....and ohhhs that fuel passion untill VAR spoils the show.....ice on fire. 5. VAR officials are annoyingly far too inconsistent from match to match. 6. VAR officials wield too much power at the expense of referees.
