Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has shaved his trademark beard.

The Liverpool winger is highly recognisable all over the world and has been dubbed the Egyptian King for his exploits both on and off the pitch.

One of the most prominent features of the attacker, who superbly finished off a sensational team move for the Reds thrid goal against Bournemouth on Saturday, is no doubt his hair.

There is, of course, also his beard and both that and his hair are prominent whenever any drawing or any depiction of Salah is made.

Now, however, the beard is gone...

Salah posted a picture of him with a shaved face on Sunday morning - with two emojis showing a man with a hand over his face.

Hundreds of fans commented on the post saying how young he looked while others said they hoped it didn't stop him scoring.

Salah is the first Liverpool player since Luis Suarez to score more than 20 goals in consecutive Premier League seasons for Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp's side moved three points clear at the top of the domestic league table with a 3-0 win over Bournemouth at Anfield and there now 12 league games remaining as the Reds look to clinch their title in almost 30 years.
