The Ballon d'Or votes are always interesting to pore through
Most Tottenham fans would have been happy to see Luka Modric lift the Ballon d'Or trophy on Monday night.
The diminutive midfielder was a fans' favourite at White Hart Lane during his four years at the club, although he was angling for a move away during his last year or so, eventually getting the dream move to Real Madrid in 2012.
And since moving to the Bernabeu, Modric's career has gone from strength to strength.
He has four Champions League winner's medals and he guided his Croatia side to the final of the World Cup in Russia, just missing out on international glory to France.
It all culminated in him winning the Ballon' d'Or at a ceremony in Paris on Monday, that after scooping the FIFA Best award earlier in the year.
But he was not the only player with a Spurs connection on the list.
In fact two current Tottenham players received top five votes for the award. France captain Hugo Lloris came in joint 29th in the voting, with England skipper and World Cup Golden Boot winner Harry Kane claiming a place in the top ten of the voting.
But who voted for the Spurs striker? And which countries is he most loved by?
One journalist from each FIFA nation votes on the award, naming their top five in order. And Kane got one vote to win the Ballon d'Or outright from journalist Raymond Nase - from Vanuatu.
Kane also took a second place from Kenya and was given third place by Uzbekistan and Togo.
Mongolia and Bosnia-Herzegovina named him as the fourth best player this year, with Croatia, Lesotho, Mauritania, Malta and Sri Lanka naming him the fifth best player in the world.
Countries that voted for Kane:
Bosnia - 4th
Croatia - 5th
Kenya - 2nd
Lesotho - 5th
Malta - 5th
Mauritania - 5th
Mongolia - 4th
Sri Lanka - 5th
Togo - 3rd
Uzbekistan - 3rd
Vanuatu - 1st
