Wolves are planning a January move for Reading youngster Danny Loader.

The Molineux club failed in an attempt to sign the 19-year-old forward in August but will revisit their interest when the transfer window re-opens.

Loader, who scored for England Under-20s' win over Iceland on Tuesday night, is fast emerging as one of the best emerging talents outside the Premier League.

A number of top-flight clubs are monitoring Loader's progress at the Madejski - including Manchester United.

He has made 29 appearances for the Royals after breaking into the first team from the academy last season.

Loader, who recently joined a new management company after leaving his previous agents, scored his first professional goal in April against Middlesbrough.

But with Wolves and United showing an interest in Loader, the Royals are facing a fight to keep their talented youngster.

The Old Trafford side have shown a willingness to recruit from England's lower leagues - their capture of Dan James from Swansea ahead of the current campaign a case in point.
