I have nothing against Alonso. I enjoyed watching him as a footballer. He was less involved in controversy, his focus was on football. He has started his coaching career so, so well but he has to know tough times are coming. You can look at Xavi, for instance. He started so well at Barca, beat Atletico, beat RM...won a league...but then everything has changed from there. Old, proven coaches such as Mourinho, Pocchetino, Simeone, Tuchel, have all gone thru a period that their trusted game didn't work. Coaching is tougher than playing. So L/pool fans, or whoever will sign Alonso, shd not expect sweet and honey throughout. At some point they (the fans) might even want to crucify Alonso. Tough, tougher times ahead but he shd just be steady fast in his principles that he has learned from playing for so many great, great coaches. He will/is making a great coach himself. All the best.
