After last week's thrilling contest, Bayern Munich reunite with PSG at the Allianz Arena with a Champions League final spot up for grabs with just one goal in it on aggregate

Eight days after an extraordinary first meeting in Paris, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain reconvene at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday for the second leg of their blockbuster Champions League semi-final. The sides served up the highest-scoring semi-final in competition history at the Parc des Princes, where PSG withstood a late Bayern surge to claim a 5-4 advantage.

Currently, the bookies are all towing the same line with Bayern taking it on home advantage at 8/13 with BetGoodwin while PSG are 14/5 with Sky Bet and a draw is 15/4 with Ladbrokes. You can also find more betting offers at the Mirror Betting Hubs Free Bets offers.

It was breathtaking viewing for neutrals and agony for supporters, as the tie swung wildly throughout a record-breaking first leg in which defending was very much optional. PSG’s attacking trio of Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia dominated the opening hour, combining for seven direct goal contributions, but Bayern’s rapid rally from 5-2 down to 5-4 in just four minutes ensured the return match is set up to be unmissable — and impossible to call.

Vincent Kompany, suspended for the opener and watching from the stands, saw Bayern ship five goals in a Champions League game for the first time in 31 years — and the history books offer little comfort. Bayern have lost the first leg of a European semi-final 10 times before and gone out on nine of those occasions, only overturning the deficit to reach the final once, against CSKA Sofia in the 1981-82 European Cup.

A dramatic 3-3 Bundesliga draw with bottom club Heidenheim on Saturday also left Bayern on their longest winless run of the season. They had not gone two games without a victory in 2025-26 until now, and needed a 100th-minute equaliser from substitute Michael Olise just to rescue a point.

Having also overturned a 3-0 deficit to beat Mainz 05 4-3 on April 25, Bayern have shown they can produce comebacks — and goals. Their last three matches have featured a remarkable 22 goals, while 59 have been scored across their last 11 games, averaging more than five per match.

Despite the nine-goal chaos in Paris, PSG boss Luis Enrique rejected the idea it was simply poor defending, branding that view a “sh*t opinion” after his side’s narrow but potentially decisive win. PSG’s record when winning the first leg is formidable: they have progressed from 36 of 43 UEFA two-legged ties after taking the opener, including 14 of 17 when their advantage was a single goal.

They, too, rotated heavily for their latest domestic match — despite the Ligue 1 title not yet being secured — and were held 2-2 as Lorient fought back twice in Paris. Their away form, however, is exceptional: the reigning European champions have won six straight matches on the road in all competitions, keeping clean sheets in five of those.

Even so, shutting Bayern out in Munich would be a major surprise. At the Allianz Arena, Bayern have won five of their last six meetings with PSG, scoring 15 goals in the process.

Bayern Munich vs PSG Team News

Bayern have no fresh injury concerns for the second leg, and Vincent Kompany hopes teenage winger Lennart Karl will recover from a torn thigh muscle in time to feature. Serge Gnabry (thigh) and Raphael Guerreiro (hamstring) remain out, but Kompany is expected to revert to his strongest XI, with Manuel Neuer, Dayot Upamecano, Alphonso Davies, Joshua Kimmich, Michael Olise, Luis Diaz and Harry Kane all set to return after being benched at the weekend. Kane is also chasing a seventh straight Champions League game with a goal.

PSG, however, look set to be without Achraf Hakimi after the full-back suffered a hamstring injury in the first leg. Warren Zaire-Emery could deputise in defence, allowing Fabian Ruiz to rejoin Vitinha and Joao Neves in midfield. Back-up goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier (hand) is also missing, while Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is one goal from a new PSG single-season UCL record.
