Having won over the Roten Bullen board with his exciting brand of football, Al Hain-Cole is backing Nagelsmann to help ensure goals at the RB Arena

Julian Nagelsmann will be aiming to give his future employers a taste of things to come when his Hoffenheim side take on RB Leipzig in Wednesday’s DFB Pokal clash.

Already established as one of the game’s brightest managers, the 31-year-old is set to take over at the Red Bull Arena at the end of the current campaign.

Having overseen a 5-2 victory on his last visit to this ground, he is available at 23/10 (3.30) with William Hill to underline his credentials with another win here.

However, the Roten Bullen ran out 2-1 winners when the sides met at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena in this season’s Bundesliga clash, and are even odds (2.00) favourites to come out on top once again in this one.

Just once of the five previous encounters between this pair has resulted in a draw, but you can get odds of 29/10 (3.90) on this one heading into extra-time after a deadlocked 90 minutes.

Emil Forsberg and Marcelo Saracchi are both ruled out through injury for Ralf Rangnick, who otherwise has a full squad to choose from.

Florian Grillitsch, Benjamin Hubner, Lukas Rupp, Dennis Geiger and Nadiem Amiri are unfit to play, although Pavel Kaderabek is available despite coming off injured in Saturday's 4-0 win over Stuttgart.

Having overseen a 4-0 victory in the home fixture, that 5-2 away win last campaign must have gone a long way to convincing the RB Leipzig board that Nagelsmann was the right candidate to take their young club forward.

This exciting brand of football is likely to be in full show once again considering the Kraichgauer have scored 16 goals in six away matches this season but conceded 10 at the other end of the pitch, while the hosts have struck 26 times in their 10 home matches so far.

All in all, odds of 11/10 (2.10) are well worth backing on over 3.5 goals being scored for Hoffenheim’s sixth match in seven on the road this campaign.
