A place in the DFB Cup final is at stake as Werder Bremen host Bayern Munich in the last four of the competition.
Bremen are out for revenge four days after their narrow 1-0 Bundesliga defeat in Munich, but may have to do it without captain Max Kruse after he suffered a bruised thigh in the loss.
The record champions continue their push for a domestic double after maintaining their lead over Dortmund thanks to their win at home to Bremen.
Their path to a 10th consecutive DFB Cup semi-final has been somewhat rockier than expected with tight 1-0 and 2-1 wins at fourth-tier Drochtersen/Assel and Rödinghausen respectively.
Captain Manuel Neuer is also not available to the Croatian as he recovers from a calf injury, while James Rodriguez remains a doubt with a groin problem.
Focus
Bremen are the second most successful club in DFB Cup history, having lifted the trophy six times. Bayern hold the record with 18 titles.
The Munich club have won their last 19 competitive matches against Werder and have progressed on both their previous two cup visits to Bremen.
Thomas Müller and Robert Lewandowski are joint-10th in the competition’s all-time scoring chart, with 29 goals. Bayern legend Gerd Müller leads the way with 78.
Bayern have been behind for a total of only 18 minutes in this year’s competition.
Prediction:
Bremen 1-2 Bayern

I respect ur thought sir but my personal feeling says he is not good enough for Bayern. We saw today..we almost lost to nuremburg. what doesthat mean to one of the best club in the world. we should be hammering them. Kovac might be learning but I dnt think any coach can learn by being bayerns manager. he should learn and then should be manager.its my personal feeling. I'm sorry... no offence to anyone..
yes we played very poor against Nurnberg and I must admit that kovac was at fault and I respect your opinion as well. I hope I'm right and he'll become a great coach but if he does get sacked and we get a great replacement I'll be very happy

ok I agree we played terribly but he's learning and we're still in the running for a double so he deserves a second chance

the only evidence I have is we lost so comprehensively at home to liverpool...may be liverpool are better than us this season but we were in home and we didn't even try to play...

I prefer bayern not to win anything this year....so that high leveler can understand football has changed...investment is must..n I seriously feel Kovac is too small for Bayern.. He should get out of my club.. he is making Bayern small like he himself....

This is season defining moment and matches, we can't let our guard down now. If we do all our Efforts and struggle all through the season will be a waste and that will be terrible. All we need to do is to continue on this right path of defensive discipline and attacking aggression. I believed we need to stick with the players in last Game, no need to experiment now. Victory is all we want no matter how small it is. Up Bayern Munich.

This are season defining moment and matches. We can't lower our guard now. We can't let all our struggles from beginning of the season be a waste, therefore performance is the answer. Good results is all we want. Defensive discipline and Attacking aggression is the Solution. No matter how small the margin is win is all that matters and we shall win. Up Bayern Munich.
