ESPN reports that Bayern Munich have set an internal guideline not to involve Kompany in football discussions during his recovery.
Kompany has been away from the team for two weeks after collapsing during a reserve team training session on October 23. He was subsequently hospitalized and treated for meningeal irritation, an inflammation of the membranes surrounding the brain or spinal cord.
"I've had a few very good calls with Vince," Aaron Danks said. "He seems very positive and appears to be steadily moving towards a full recovery. The international break is a good opportunity to look back and see when he can return."
Aaron Danks will continue to lead the team for Saturday's Bundesliga match against Mainz 05, Bayern's fifth game since Kompany's collapse. The international break follows, and Bayern will not play again until November 20.
During Kompany's absence, Kane became the first Bayern player in 45 years to win the Ballon d'Or and signed a contract extension. Bayern drew with Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday and beat Atletico Madrid, while also dealing with a string of injuries.
After Kompany was discharged and sent home to recuperate, Bayern set an internal guideline not to involve him in football discussions during his recovery.
