Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Fredi Bobic believes Milan have finally found their left winger in the ‘unstoppable’ Ante Rebic.
Rebic joined Milan in exchange for Andre Silva towards the end of the summer transfer window, and Bobic expects the Croat to end the Rossoneri’s long wait for a left-sided attacker.
“Boban knew I’d been interested in Andre Silva for about a month, but the actual negotiations began just three days before the market closed,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“It’s always useful to know each other and maintain relationships, I’d say yes, that facilitated negotiations.
“It’s never easy to find a solution when time is against you, but luckily Boban and Maldini are both excellent professionals.
“Together we found the best agreement, in the interests of both clubs. Rebic will be an important player, I’m more than sure about that.
“He was a leading light for us during a couple of incredible seasons. I wish him well, but I know he’ll do well for them.
“The best position for him is left winger, but he can also play very well as a second striker.
“Ante is very strong physically and, for that reason alone, a Coach hardly gives up on him.
“He has technical quality, he’s equally adept with both feet and his pace makes him unstoppable.”
The former Germany striker then reserved more praise for Diavolo director Zvonimir Boban.
“It’s difficult at the start as management is complex, but Zvone was and still is a man of great character.
“He’ll find his way around and he’ll also be a great director.”

I still won't believe it until they actually activate the option to buy. With our luck he'll show up in Milanello next June.

For now. They have an option to buy, not an obligation.

Isn’t Silva’s loan a 2 year loan like Rebic?

No, it's because Rebic wanted to be closer to Brozovic.

So happy about this. We needed a direct option.

Rebic tried but he wasn’t good enough, we could have used the 38m for him much better, I mean we got piatek for 35m

Rebic's actually more of a SS than a direct target man like Piatek which isn't a bad thing because that's exactly what we needed next to Piatek

Man this is the best thing that can happen to Rebic, a perfect partner to make space for him.

By the way it was 38m split, and we paid 21m so far, so if we sell Rebic before 38m we can even get a plusvalenza
