After the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals, where Frankfurt lost 0-1 at home and 1-2 on aggregate to Tottenham, Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche gave a post-match interview.
Board member for sport Markus Krösche: “We’re obviously hugely disappointed so soon after the game. We tried everything in the second half but weren’t as clinical as we needed to be in attack. Mario Götze’s injury ruined our game plan, but we can’t change that now. Despite that, we had opportunities to win the game, but we couldn’t make the most of them. Unfortunately, we’re now out of the competition.”
