In the 2nd leg of the Champions League semi-final, Bayern Munich drew 1-1 with Paris Saint-Germain, losing 5-6 on aggregate and failing to qualify. After the game, Kane spoke about his views on the penalty decisions in an interview with Bild.

Kane said: "Right now, I'm just disappointed. We were very close to success this year. Of course, we dream of winning all the titles, and we are fully capable of doing so, which is why this moment is so painful."

"I think everyone watching the game will come to the same conclusion. You could award a handball last week, so why not this week? Mendes should obviously have received a second yellow card as well. The referee somehow changed his mind."

"That's just how it is: In two-legged matches, if you want to advance, you also need a little bit of luck, and then it is these small details that can determine the outcome. The next few days will definitely be difficult. Yes, we fully believed that we had the ability to turn the situation around and reach the final."

"It's going to be difficult, tonight, tomorrow - just like football always is, one game after another. We have another game on Saturday. We are professional players, playing for Bayern Munich, we must be prepared and strive to deliver an absolutely top-level performance again."

"Of course, the DFB-Pokal - now all our attention is there. It hurts, and I believe we will discuss and think about this for some time. But as always: look forward and focus on the next task."
