Gregor Kobel hailed Borussia Dortmund's fighting spirit after they came from behind to earn a last-gasp draw with RB Leipzig.
Christoph Baumgartner scored twice in the first half to put Leipzig in control, but a Romulo own goal cut their lead early in the second half.
Dortmund then salvaged a point, with Fabio Silva striking in the 95th minute to complete the comeback, though they have lost ground on Bayern Munich, who now hold an eight-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga.
Dortmund are now unbeaten in their last 16 top-flight games, their longest such run since April-October 2023 (17 games).
And Kobel highlighted Dortmund's resilience, noting how important that will be for them going forward as they aim to try and keep the pressure on Bayern.
"Leipzig can play very good football, and both goals we conceded were very similar," Kobel said.
"But we showed a strong reaction and fought our way back into the game. It's a shame we couldn't win.
"The emotions after the equaliser were good and important. They almost carried us to a third goal. That's the energy we now have to take with us."
Dortmund finished the match with 11 shots worth 1.6 expected goals (xG), while having 25 touches in the opposition box, all fewer than Leipzig.
Their hosts, who have now dropped 18 points from winning positions this season, fired 13 attempts worth 1.9 xG on Kobel's goal, though only managed to get three on target, with none of those coming in the second half.
Niko Kovac admitted Dortmund had struggled to cope with their hosts' attacking play before the break, but was impressed with the turnaround they showed after half-time.
"We didn't understand how to defend Leipzig's attacks down their left, our right side in the first half," Kovac said.
"We didn't manage it at all. But in the second half, we showed our mentality again and deserved the draw. That was good.
"In the end, we fought for the 2-2, and despite the wrong decision [he felt Karim Adeyemi should have won a penalty], it's a deserved draw.
"Leipzig won the first half. We were the better team in the second 45 minutes. That's okay."
A hugely frustrated Baumgartner, meanwhile, hit out at Leipzig's collapse.
As quoted by Bulinews, the Leipzig midfielder said: "We can't expect to compete at the very top if we give away games like this.
"Sometimes, in the 87th minute, you have to go to the corner flag and run down the clock. That's part of winning. We've lost 18 points after taking the lead - that's simply not acceptable."
Baumgartner's sentiments were echoed by team-mate David Raum.
"I'm extremely disappointed, really angry, really furious about how we gave the game away again at the end," Raum said.
"We lack a bit of experience and that dirty mentality needed to win games like this at the end. I'm really angry."
