According to a report by L’Équipe, Bayer Leverkusen have reached an agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain for Nordi Mukiele (26). The centre-back is expected to arrive in Leverkusen where he will undertake his medical ahead of joining the German champions.

The agreement will take the form of a loan deal with an option to purchase for an undisclosed fee. PSG had been keen to sell Mukiele since the start of the transfer window with multiple clubs in Italy thought to be interested in trying to secure the centre-back.

However, the French outlet reports that Mukiele was persuaded by the Leverkusen project and the attractive football that the club has demonstrated over the past two seasons. The defender was particularly convinced by the vision of manager Xabi Alonso who envisions the PSG man being utilised in multiple roles across the defence.
