Match Report
Leroy Sane bagged a brace as Manchester City beat Hoffenheim 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium to ensure they made it through to the last 16 of the Champions League as Group F winners.
City, who had already qualified, needed just a point to be certain of top spot but they fell behind to Andrej Kramaric's 16th-minute penalty.
The hosts then twice hit the woodwork before Sane's long-range free-kick just before half-time drew them level.
And he found the net again 16 minutes after the break as Pep Guardiola's side bounced back from their Premier League loss away at Chelsea on Saturday, while Hoffenheim finish bottom of the table to miss out on the Europa League.

The next stage of UCL competition is crucial if Manchester City will fluff around with clear cut goals as they fumbled today they may not progress to the next stage. It is so annoying to watch a team working so hard to create goals and mess up golden opportunities needlessly. This should have been a game City will have comfortably won by 7 goals, teams struggle to create scoring chances but the City team has a wonderful skill which makes them create numerous goal scoring opportunities. Against a team like Juventus with seasoned defenders or a strike force like that of PSG City can easily be hurt if they don't tuck away such opportunities.

Well Sane is a former Bundesliga prodigy so what were people expecting. The guy is amazing when in form. I think he has his inconsistencies but I feel like that may be due to matters off the pitch rather than on it....
