Napoli chiefs plan to add a new midfield signing to coach Antonio Conte's squad in January and after receiving little encouragement from Manchester United over Kobbie Mainoo, they're now focusing on Manzambi.
TMW says Napoli have learned it will take around €20m to sign the Switzerland international, 20, over the New Year.
Manzambi's agent, Ishmael Miller, said just last week: "Of course, my phone rings constantly, but the boy wants to stay calm, finish the season at Freiburg, play for Switzerland, and then we'll see.
"Plan A remains continuity with Freiburg in the Bundesliga, but we all know football; if a significant offer comes in, I'd be the first to consider it."
