UEFA officially announced that Bayern Munich's home stadium, Allianz Arena, will host the 2028 Champions League final, and Barcelona's home stadium, Camp Nou, will host the 2029 Champions League final.
The 2028 Champions League final will be held at the Allianz Arena in Munich. This will be the second time the Champions League final has been held there in three years. In the 2025 Champions League final, Paris Saint-Germain defeated Inter Milan 5-0 at the Allianz Arena, winning their first Champions League title in history.
Additionally, in the 2012 final, Bayern faced Chelsea at home. In that match, Bayern drew 1-1 in regular time and lost 4-3 on penalties to Chelsea, missing out on lifting the trophy at home.
The 2029 Champions League final will be held at Barcelona's Camp Nou. The last time Camp Nou hosted a Champions League final was on May 26, 1999. In that match, Manchester United came from behind to defeat Bayern Munich 2-1.
Furthermore, Camp Nou previously hosted the European Cup final in 1989, when AC Milan defeated Steaua BucureΘti 4-0.
Therefore, if the 2029 Champions League final is held at Camp Nou again, it will be the first time the stadium has hosted the Champions League final in 30 years; it will also be the 3rd Champions League/European Cup final in Camp Nou's history.
