OFFICIAL: Pacho & Lucas Hernández Suspended for 2 Matches – CWC Campaign Ends

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has decided to sanction Paris Saint‑Germain players Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernández with two-match suspensions. 

Both received direct red cards in the Club World Cup quarter‑final match between Paris Saint‑Germain and Bayern Munich at Atlanta’s Mercedes‑Benz Stadium on July 5, 2025.

In accordance with Article 14(1)(e) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, both players are banned for two matches. PSG retain the right to request clarification on the decision. However, under FIFA Statutes Article 50(3)(b) and Disciplinary Code Article 61(1)(c), this decision is final and not subject to appeal.

As a result, their journey in the FIFA Club World Cup has come to an early conclusion.
