Real Madrid will reportedly be keeping a very close eye on Erling Haaland as the Bundesliga gets ready for its big return this weekend.
The Spanish giants are in the market for a striker to replicate the form of Cristiano Ronaldo at the Bernabeu, after Luka Jovic has flopped since his arrival last summer.
And according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Madrid will spy on Borussia Dortmund striker Haaland when the Bundesliga makes its return this weekend.
Haaland has become one of the hottest properties in world football following an incredible breakthrough season, firstly at Red Bull Salzburg and now at Dortmund.
The 19-year-old striker has scored an incredible 12 goals in just 11 matches after signing for Dortmund in January.
And Madrid view the Norwegian star as one of their priority transfer targets after realising they are missing a proper out-and-out striker.
The Spanish giants want to sign Haaland as soon as possible but they realise the summer transfer market will be extremely difficult to do business in.
Dortmund do not want to sell their star man straight away and negotiations have been made much tougher due to the coronavirus pandemic.
If Madrid do not get their man this summer, the La Liga outfit will reportedly make their move for him next summer when his £66million buyout clause becomes active.
Madrid are hunting for a new striker after Jovic has failed to live up to his potential since his £62million arrival last summer.
Jovic has scored just twice and created as many assists in 24 matches for Madrid in all competitions this season

Why every news reporter is calling Jovic as a Flop? How many opportunities are given to him by ZZ? How many matches he has started out of 22 matches he played this season? Hardly 4-5. for rest of the matches he came after 75-80th minutes. During most of his appearances he did not even received any quality services from both the wings as well midfield during his appearances, then how the hell he is supposed to score? He didn't play any match with Hazard on left wing and other quality players like Asensio, Bale. Considering all these points he can't be called flop [Crylaugh][Crylaugh][Crylaugh]
