It appears anyone connected to Bayern Munich is just taking the black cloud everywhere they go.
Germany has been the most disappointing squad from the 2018 Word Cup through today as Die Mannschaft has sputtered mightily in the UEFA Nations League. One team that has been nearly as bad as Germany, however, is Robert Lewandowski’s Poland side.
Biało-czerwoni dropped two of three games in Russia and has been underwhelming to say the least in the UEFA Nations League. With one draw against Italy and losses against Italy and Portugal, Poland has not been cohesive on the pitch or off of it. Leading the discontent is Bayern Munich striker extraordinaire Robert Lewandowski.
Unhappy with the squad’s system, Lewandowski threw a barb at coach Jerzy Brzęczek per Bild:
There are systems that suit us better - and the coach knows that. That makes it harder for us on the pitch.
Brzęczek returned some slight fire in kind, but it is safe to say Poland has some issues:
Players have to adhere to specifications and should not try to look for excuses in the system for their performance. I suggest that the players clean up their act. When I spoke with Lewandowski before the game, he still thought everything was fine.
Well...on to Wolfsburg!
