Toni Kroos sees Bayern Munich's tranfer mistake

Toni Kroos can't understand that.

The transfer policy of Bayern is currently attracting criticism from some fans. Now, the former Munich player has also spoken up in his podcast "Einfach mal Luppen" and lamented a missed transfer.

The person in question is Enzo Millot (23). The Frenchman has transferred from VfB Stuttgart to Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia for around 30 million euros. Kroos emphasizes in his podcast: "I would have signed him for Bayern."

Then our world champion praises: "Millot is really a very, very good player." And: "He was decisive at VfB. A top player."

According to BILD information, Millot was even offered to Bayern officials before his transfer, but the German record champion was not interested. The Frenchman could have been obtained for just under 20 million euros via a release clause.

It's clear: Not only Kroos sees transfer mistakes at Bayern, but also striker star Harry Kane (32) publicly sounded the alarm about the squad after the 2:1 win in the Supercup against Stuttgart: "It's probably one of the smallest squads I've ever played in. We're a bit thinly staffed, but that's not in the players' hands." Highly unusual for the England captain.

Several top clubs had expressed interest in Millot, including Atlético Madrid, with whom negotiations took place. Ultimately, however, the midfield star decided to leave Europe behind and move to the desert.

A decision that Kroos doesn't like at all. The former player: "That hurt me a bit." Then he reveals: "Probably he'll fill his pockets there for two years now and then come back and see what's still left. That's a very good player with a rather straightforward decision. I was annoyed about that."

As "Sky" reports, Millot earns ten million euros net annually in Saudi Arabia. With that, he would rank among the absolute top earners across the Bundesliga.
