Everton are closing on agreement to sign Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma - at the second time of asking.
The 26-year old had agreed to join Everton in January, even undergoing a medical, only to change tack when Frank Lampard was sacked as manager and he signed for Tottenham.
Everton sorely lacked goals last season and have been desperately looking to add more firepower to their attack but with a restricted budget have found it difficult to move on some of the players they want.
Villarreal though are willing to let Danjuma leave on another loan and that falls in line with Everton's finances.
They have also asked about Almeria's El Bilal Toure and hold an interest in Ajax forward Brian Brobbey.
Leeds United winger Willy Gnonto is also on their radar though talks are still to advance.
Everton have interest from Crystal Palace and Saudi clubs for Demarai Gray while their only signing so far is free agent Ashley Young.
