Jorge Messi, Lionel's father, involved in traffic accident

Lionel Messi's father, Jorge, has been involved in a traffic accident in Rosario, Argentina.

The incident occurred at around 8:00pm local time on Thursday when the player's father collided with a young motorcyclist who was taken to hospital.

Tests have been undertaken and TN have reported that the youngster has only suffered minor injuries.

Jorge Messi, meanwhile, was provisionally taken to a local police station.
