Andrea Pirlo insisted he would not have done anything differently after Juventus crashed out to 10-man Porto in the Champions League.
The Portuguese side booked their place in the quarter-finals on away goals after a 4-4 aggregate draw despite losing 3-2 to the Italians following extra time in a thrilling clash that went to the wire on Tuesday.
Sergio Oliveira's low free-kick for Porto's second goal in the extra period went through the legs of Cristiano Ronaldo in the Juve wall and squeezed past goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny's despairing dive to strike what proved to be the decisive blow.
Pirlo insisted he was not worried about his future despite former boss Maurizio Sarri being sacked for not getting past the round of 16.
He told Sky Sport Italia: 'I don't know why Sarri was removed. I am the coach of Juventus, I was brought in for a more ample approach, a project that was always meant to develop over several years, so I am not concerned.
'I am not happy to be working with a full week, as I'd have preferred to stay in the Champions League.
'Now that we're in this situation, we can work on various aspects in training, which we haven't had time to do so far this season, and try to improve on those.'
The Italian giants suffered another painful exit after defeats to Ajax and Lyon in the past two seasons.
Pirlo added: 'When you make four big errors over two legs in the Champions League Round of 16, you can get eliminated.
'We didn't get it wrong when Porto were down to 10, as all we could do was try to spread them out by moving the ball side to side and packing the penalty area with bodies. That is how the goals arrived.'

The reality hits hard at my dear Juventus fans . But i m not surprised, because I made up my mind for this day . I read the # i am tired of CR7 fans , comment . Well I think 🤔 Juventus fans needs to Blame the Juventus management, their mentality sucks . They’re built to win the league and this season, inter won’t let them have that . So Juventus is season officially ended moments ago. Back to the situation at hand . Juventus management are absolutely stupid. Instead of them to build a team , they went to buy Ronaldo and believing that he will single handedly win them the UCL. Because he was magical at Real . Guess what ? At Real the built a much younger Ronaldo a team. But at Juventus, they didn’t build a team. This season would’ve been much more better, if Juventus had a good coach. Talking about Pirlo, Juventus should fire him right away. I have said this all along . Oh my God ! I hear some fans saying he needs time ? 😂 really! He doesn’t need any Goddamn time . I figured this out long ago. Pirlo is not good 😌 today’s game should have been won easily. He kept Morata on for what ? Pulled out Arthur and Chiesa , whom were among the few best players on the field. Then started 442 and starting the most useless player in the world ( Ramsey) was stupid. If i was Juventus coach, I will never play Ramsey in my team. I will rather play our under 23 players instead of useless Ramsey. Pirlo is definitely not leaning because he will never be a great coach. Coaching is a gift . You’re either a good or bad coach and Pirlo is absolutely a bad coach. Juventus should fire both Pirlo and Paratici. You don’t need 20 games to figure out how good or bad a coach is . I knew Pirlo sucks after 3 games at Juventus. Juventus needs a summer sells and shopping . Out : Ramsey, Bentancur, Rabiot , Morata, Kulusevski, Danilo, Szczesny and probably Bernardeschi. In : Pogba , RB and LB , one powerful striker ( Haaland) possibly and some quality midfielders. Also in , well experienced and great coach with great coaching team . In : five or four players from our youth team players promoted to the main team. Lastly; probably sell Ronaldo in other to rebuild the team all together and to make some cash and also free up cash from Ronaldo is bombshell salary. Feel free to add your opinions.
