Lyon clinch fifth successive Women's UCL title and equal Real Madrid record

Lyon have been crowned Women's Champions League winners for the fifth successive year after beating Wolfsburg 3-1 in the final in San Sebastian.

Goals from Eugenie Le Sommer and Saki Kumagai saw the French side go into the break with a two-goal advantage.

Alexandra Popp pulled one back for the Germans shortly after half time but Sara Bjork Gunnarsdottir sealed the victory for OL in the closing stages.

This was Lyon's seventh Champions League trophy - more than any other team - while Wolfsburg's wait for a third title goes on.

Lyon are now level with the Real Madrid men's side of the 1950s and 60s as the longest reigning European champions - both teams won five successive titles.
