The defensive midfielder is expected to depart in search of regular first-team football, with Real Sociedad and Eintracht Frankfurt both keen.
Marcos Llorente is expected to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season. Having been relegated to a fringe role under head coach Zinedine Zidane, he doesn't want to go through the same experience next term.
Set to leave after disappointing season back at Bernabéu
And he is not short of suitors, with Real Sociedad and Eintracht Frankfurt well placed.
Llorente, who is the son, grandson and great-nephew of ex-Real stars Paco Llorente, Ramón Grosso and Paco Gento, respectively, returned to the Bernabéu in the summer, having excelled on loan at Alavés in 2016-17. However, the defensive midfielder has struggled to compete with regular anchorman Casemiro, regularly failing to even make the bench.
In total, Zidane has given Llorente just 942 minutes of playing time this season, mostly in Los Blancos' unsuccessful Copa del Rey campaign. In LaLiga and the Champions League, the 23-year-old has mustered just 182 minutes of action this calendar year.
Real Sociedad the favourites for Llorente's signature
Against this backdrop, he is set to explore the options available to him in the summer, with La Real seemingly the frontrunners to sign him, possibly as part of a deal to take right-back Álvaro Odriozola the other way. The Basques' cause is aided by the fact that Llorente's brother, Diego, is already at Anoeta.
However, it is unclear whether the recent departures of La Real's head coach, Eusebio Sacristán, and sporting director Loren will affect the outfit's interest in Llorente.
Eintracht keen to take Llorente to Bundesliga
Meanwhile, Eintracht would be keen to snap up the youngster - particularly if, as expected, Real Madrid opt to re-sign Llorente's fellow defensive midfielder, Omar Mascarell, from the Germans.
The Bundesliga club view the excellent relationship between their sporting director, Fredi Bobic, and Real general manager José Ángel Sánchez, as a potential ace card, while their prospects of snaring Llorente are also boosted by the positive progress made by both Mascarell and Jesús Vallejo after joining Eintracht from Real.

All those who r saying he has to leave bcuz he isn't getting any chances. R u friggin dumb? Llorente is not a casemiro. He's as good as if not better than him. But since bale's injury woes and asensio,Vazquez and isco's fantastic form what'd u expect? Llorente is fantastic no doubt. But this is real madrid, only the best play here. If u leave in the first sign of less game time u'll never succeed. Here players like isco and kovacic, who'd walk into the first teams of any club in the top 5 leagues r benched. But that dont mean they're not gud. These rumours r rubbish. A player like him knows better P.S. most won't understand this cuz they're all 'hail the Ronaldo',"congratulations" eyc
i know you are a Madrid fan and i do not have any right to hurt your feelings but .... as you said big players stay and play and he is not getting his chance so i think he should leave because big players get chances as u said he is big so he should get chance but in a different club and this rumors r true ... he is leaving . THAT's all from me if have any problem u can reply me we can talk otherwise no hard feeling . THANK YOU .

He better leave on loan than seek permanent contract elsewhere, and the fact that there's only two of them as recognized Defensive Midfielders including Casamero makes his chances of playing even more. The lad just needs to be patient and give his best during practice to convince the coaching stuff of his abilities. Hala Madrid

Yes good for him. They shouldn't sell him though. They should send him on loan or sell him with a buyback clause. He is a great talent. Regular first team minutes will help him to develop and madrid can get him back when he is needed!
