Marcos Llorente comes from a football family, with his father Paco Llorente and his grandfather Ramon Grosso both having played for Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid.
The 24-year-old signed a five-year deal with Los Rojiblancos and his 40 million euro move from Madrid was officially announced on Thursday.
Grosso was the first member of the family to ever swap between the two capital-based teams.
He played for Real Madrid's reserves, where he scored 13 goals in 15 games, before moving on loan to Atletico as he looked to help the team in their battle against relegation.
After the end of the season he returned to Madrid, where he became a club legend, having played 336 games and won seven domestic league titles and one European Cup.
Grosso's son-in-law Paco Llorente took his first football steps at Atletico Madrid's academy and made his debut with the senior side in 1985/86 under Luis Aragones.
His performances made him stand out and Real Madrid president Ramon Mendoza expressed his interest in the winger.
Llorente sought for a way out and took advantage of a law that would let him depart Atletico by compensating the club 300,000 euros.
He moved to Los Blancos and played along with the famous 'Quinta del Buitre,' being one of team's most vital cogs in their run until the European Cup semi-finals in 1988.

Was a high quality replacement at CDM. What happens if casemiro is injured? Our midfield is ageing and we need to find a solution

Llorente is a great player he will prove to be the best defensive midfielder in the world. Selling him is a big loss for madrid. Zidan does not believe in the youth players of Madrid academy and didn't give him the opportunity continue what he did during casimero injury.
