Mykhailo Mudryk has struggled to live up to expectations at Chelsea, scoring no goals and registering just one assist in 10 appearances across all competitions

Mykhailo Mudryk has endured a difficult start to life at Chelsea following his move from Shakhtar Donetsk in a deal thought to be worth more than £80 million.

The 22-year-old was one of eight players to arrive at Stamford Bridge in January as Todd Boehly and Graham Potter eyed up a much-improved second half of the campaign.

Unfortunately for all involved, such plans have failed to materialise with Potter sacked after a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa and Frank Lampard reappointed on an interim basis last week.

Mudryk, meanwhile, has struggled to live up to expectations during his time in West London so far, scoring no goals and registering just one assist in 10 Chelsea appearances across all competitions.

However, The Sun suggest that his struggles are related to off-field problems. According to their report, Mudryk has felt alone in London since moving to the UK.

In a bid to help him settle, it is believed that Mudryk will move his family across to London.

"A week ago in England, I met Mykhailo Mudryk and he is very happy," he said. "He likes everything that is going on [there], he wants to work hard, he wants to show the best.

"I said from the beginning, I spoke to the owners of Chelsea, and I told them you’ve got a real diamond but you should be very, very patient. Give this guy time and he will show you what he can bring to the club."
