Samir Nasri has criticised France coach Didier Deschamps for not calling up Karim Benzema to the national team squad for the most recent European Championship and World Cup.
Despite being happy for Les Blues' achievements, the Anderlecht midfielder cannot understand why the Real Madrid striker did not play a part in those major tournaments.
"I am happy that [France] won the 2018 World Cup, but there are some flaws," he said during a live Instagram chat.
"[Deschamps] can construct three teams of a very, very good level and I have the right not to like it.
"Look, I have friends who play for the national team. They deserved to win the World Cup, but put [Pep] Guardiola in [charge of] the French team and you will see how they will play. We would enjoy it," Nasri stated.
"I don't understand why Benzema did not play at Euro 2016 or the 2018 World Cup.
"I don't understand why I did not participate in the 2014 World Cup.
"I also don't understand why Hatem Ben Arfa was not selected for Euro 2016 after his season with Nice," Nasri added.

Didier Deschamps is a bad manager. Don't get me wrong, his tactics is good but his personality and character is bad. I know he had a problem with Nasri and Benzema following a incident, but still he just can't get over it. Any other good manager will just forgive them and put back them on the national team. Sooner or later Deschamps will be sack, and will see a improvement from France NT.
