Bayern have confirmed the appointment of ex-player Hansi Flick as new assistant manager
After returning to Bayern Flick said: "I'm happy to be back. I'm looking forward to the job of working with players again and working with Niko. When the offer came, I did not have to think twice. Bayern is a club that is close to my heart, a top address."
"I talked a lot to Niko- together with his brother Robert - and I believe that there is a good harmony. But it's also important to me to trust each other, to have good skills and above all to have fun and success together."
"We are already in close exchange, planning the preseason and the next steps. It is clear that Niko is the head coach. Our job is to work with the players and prepare the team for the goals we have. As assistant, it's important to be loyal to the coach and take him further

We lost 5 players and our main squad size is 17 (with Sanches and Boateng leaving and Davies and Arp playing for the second team most of the time). We signed 3 players (1 Arp who is as I said mostly intended for the second team this season. Also we had by FAR the smallest team last year and this time our squad depth is non existent. So we have 13 outfield player. We have 2 wingers for 2 wings (1 of them is known for being injuried half the season). We have no back up RB nor LB. We dont have a second playmaker. We dont have a second defensive midfielder, we dont have a second striker (lets be honest. Arp is 2-3 years away from being good enough to suplement Lewandowki). Our squad depth is literally non existent.
