Barcelona and Ernesto Valverde are fortunate to have a player in their squad with superhuman qualities in Lionel Messi.
They have player who can pull off an incredible shot between five bodies, who can change the run of a game at will, pick a pass with the precision of a surgeon, but that shouldn't stop Valverde from seeing the problems in his team.
It may be true that they are able to dominate as much as ever, but it is also true that they suffer without possession more than they have before and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen is called upon to save the day more often than they would like.
Recovering the ball against PSV
Looking at where the midfield players moved on Wednesday, Ivan Rakitic evidently played closer to Sergio Busquets and Philippe Coutinho was only a few metres ahead of the Croatian, causing the whole team to be further back.
On the sides, Jordi Alba is playing at a high level while Sergi Roberto and Nelson Semedo are yet to fully convince on the right.
The Catalans suffered from a lack of rotation last season and it seems as though Valverde is on the same path, showing more changes to his starting XI this year than he did before.
In Eindhoven though, with the game decided and first place sealed, Valverde didn't exhaust the changes.
He withdrew Ousmane Dembele but didn't consider replacing Rakitic or Busquets, who are crying out for a rest of some kind.
Barcelona top their Champions League group and are doing well in LaLiga Santander too but, still, they need their coaching staff to do more to eradicate the problems that plagued them last season.

Valverde should give Denis Suarez and Carles Alena some play time specially Denis over Rakitic. After watching yesterday's match it is necessary to give Cillesen some play time also as Ter Stegen was terrible with his passes against PSV. Players can't play all matches in a season.

Seems Barca soon sign Messi as a player coach,Valverde did you really need Messi to step in an give his opinion, this is where you gonna be on chalk line,it's obvious player need rest after playing 3-4 competition a week I can understand with valverde you don't wanna lose a game but stop gamble at Barca eles all fingers gonna point on you.You have a big bench maybe not every body up to standard as how you'd want but that's were you coming as a coach maybe the tactics you're using not working try a next 1 to get them up to standard if you can't you gonna always in the market cause you're not trying to build a player as a coach you rather buy a player it's obvious why Barca always in the market for both defensive an mid pitch thanks to Messi an the other experience player,no matter how you coach good or bad you look like you're doing something plus we all know Barca is built around Messi when you make that obvious is like giving away Barca secret we'd love if you make that less obvious give we more let the hole squad be more dependable let's us wonder who's gonna popped up an score instead of every match ok Messi is gonna score bring in the la masia players an apply pressure the other player so we can understand why you're not playing

I don't know why valverde doesn't like making substitutions, and the way he makes them it usually gives the player coming off virtually no time to rest. I think he needs to improve in this aspect.
