Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly set to be rewarded with a new £9m per year deal to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
The Norwegian boss who replaced Jose Mourinho in December 2018, is set to enter the final 12 months of his three-year contract later this month.
United have made giant strides under Solskjaer this season, and the Red Devils currently sit second in the Premier League standings after their 2-0 win over Manchester City last-week.
The Daily Mirror have now reported that the 48-year-old will be rewarded with an extension and a payrise to his current £7m per year salary.
It adds that talks to finalise the new contract for the manager are 'imminent'.
United have already made a number of announcements to their senior management team in March.
John Murtough has been confirmed as the club's new football director, while former midfielder Darren Fletcher has sealed a technical director post.
Solskjaer was involved in formulating playing-side details of the new structure at Old Trafford, and is now believed to be next in the agenda to extend his stay at the club.
The club's chief executive Ed Woodward praised the progress under Solskjaer to shareholders as the club's latest quarterly figures were announced earlier this month.
He said: 'The progress made by Ole and the players this season is clear and is adding to the optimism we feel about the future on and off the pitch.'
Woodward believe Solskjaer has restored the club's DNA with an emphasis on breaking through young talent while playing an attacking style of football.
The Red Devils are yet to win a trophy under Solskjaer but do have a chance this season as they are still in the hunt for the FA Cup and Europa League.
They sit 17 points behind Manchester City in the Premier League with two games in hand, but look likely to improve on their third place finish last season.
It's previously been reported that United are keen that the appointments of Murtough and Fletcher doesn't weaken the authority of Solskjaer whose side face top-four rivals West Ham on Sunday.
The manager has been given assurances the club won't buy any players he doesn't want but likewise Murtough won't sign off on targets he feels represent poor value after taking into consideration the data analysis and scouting reports from his wider department.

Whatever everyone is saying. I’m really glad we are staying with 1 manager. Not changing again. A team cannot perform with new managers every season or 2. Oli has made strides and nobody can denie it. Yes no trophies but the rebuild is showing. This is the 2nd season and MU has reached new heights in the PL. we need 1-2 more players to be added to the team. CB and a ST. Give another season or 2 and I believe we will be contenders again.

2nd in the league with minimal signings.....what more do you want??he asked for a centreback, rightwingback, right winger(Sancho),a pure No.9, and a deeplying playmaker.....what did he get?? A CAM in donny Van de beek, Cavani( good but too old to score 20-30 goals a season....thats it...and you guys dream of winning treble....ridiculous....everything needs time....the team is young...they will grow more and more

U didn't grow up on good football, so that's y u chat such crap
Guess you didn’t grow up as a Man Utd fan. Any long supporting fan would support Ole. Clubs don’t win in a snap. It always has been about making progress. Earlier this season, we didn’t get the signings we wanted, and nobody foresaw us being ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea in the league table. If winning is the only thing that makes you happy, don’t be a football fan. You’ll only be frustrated.
