Manchester City booked their place in the FA Cup final after a dominant 3-0 win over Sheffield United on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola's side secured the win at Wembley thanks to a hat-trick from Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez on the day, who opened the scoring from the penalty spot before grabbing two goals after half-time to wrap up the win for his side.
It was a huge result for the Premier League champions, who now move one step closer to accomplishing a historic Treble winning season.
Sheffield United, on the other hand, will be disappointed that they weren't able to pose more of a threat to Guardiola's side, who had looked vulnerable at times.
And so, here, Mail Sport has taken a look at the performances of each player and provided a brief description about their showing at Wembley.
Manchester City
Stefan Ortega Moreno: 7 - On hand to deny Sheffield United a second minute opener, and looked comfortable and assured in possession.
Kyle Walker: 7 - Had the freedom of the Wembley right-hand side. Used his pace to good effect in defence and attack.
Manuel Akanji: 6.5 - Relatively unchallenged throughout. Dealt with most attacks with relative ease and was as solid as ever.
Aymeric Laporte: 6 - Did his job with no issues from the Blades attack and proved a suitable replacement for the injured Ake.
Sergio Gomez: 5 - Nervy beginning to the game coupled with numerous poor deliveries, but slowly grew into the game.
Ilkay Gundogan: 7.5 - Silky on the pitch and looked relatively at ease shielding the back four. Always able to play out of sticky situations.
Bernardo Silva: 6 - Quick feet led to him being fouled for City’s penalty. Looked comfortable in every situation he faced.
Riyad Mahrez: 9 - Showed great composure to slot away the penalty, before getting his hattrick early in the second half.
Julian Alvarez: 6 - Showed lapses of judgement when in positions to shoot, but was quality in his transitional play going forward.
Jack Grealish: 7 - One of City’s better players on the day. Was a constant threat as well as grabbing the assist for City’s third.
Erling Haaland: 6.5 - A constant nuisance to the Blades defenders, but was not at his clinical best, being marked out of the game.
SUBS:
67’ - Phil Foden: 6 - Did not affect the game as much as hoped, but did see a lot of the ball after coming on.
67’ - Cole Palmer: 6 - Effective from the City left-hand side, looked bright with a few runs causing United’s defence problems.
75’ - Kalvin Phillips: 6 - Comfortable in possession, but did not have much time to impact the match, with the result a given.
82’ - Rico Lewis - N/A
Pep Guardiola: 7.5 - Job done for the Spaniard. Comfortable win, no injuries and the return of key players. A great week.
Sheffield United
Wes Foderingham: 6 - A couple of fine saves to deny City, but powerless to halt Mahrez from the spot.
George Baldock: 6 - Unable to halt the evident quality of the Premier League giants. Sloppy when attempting to get United up the pitch.
John Egan: 5 - Tried to get his team forward, but was powerless to stop City’s forwards and their dynamic play.
Anel Ahmedhodzic: 6 - Started the game strong but City’s attack was too much for the young defender. A learning curve of a match.
Jack Robinson: 5 - Sloppy in possession and when defending. Struggled to deal with City’s attackers, and the result reflected that.
Max Lowe: 6 - Lively at times during the first half, but struggled to contain the brilliance of the City front four.
Oliver Norwood: 6 - Tried his best to link defence to attack but was suffocated by City’s perilous pressing and faded away as the match went on.
John Fleck: 4 - Sloppy in possession and struggled to impact the game at all, hooked off when the game was finely balanced.
Sander Berge: 6 - Had the better of Sergio Gomez towards the beginning but overall sloppy play when pressured by the City players.
Iliman Ndiaye: 6 - Caused City’s defence a lot of problems in the first half. Unlucky not to open the scoring early on.
Daniel Jebbison: 5 - Good link-up play with Ndiaye but a silly ‘strikers challenge’ on the stroke of half-time cost his side dear.
SUBS:
58’ - Oli McBurnie: 6 - Lively showing after appearing from the bench, with a few great touches to get United forward.
66’ - Billy Sharp: 5 - Tried his hardest to get United back into the match, but the damage was already done before the forward had entered the pitch.
76’ - Chris Basham: N/A
76’ - Jayden Bogle: N/A
76’ - Ismalia Coulibaly: N/A
Paul Heckingbottom: 6 - A trying match for the soon to be Premier League manager. He will learn a lot from this.
