PSG have signed Gabriel Moscardo from Corinthians for £17million, beating a number of top European sides to snap him up after triggering his release clause.
The midfielder, 18, has signed a contract until 2028 and will go back on loan to Corinthians in Brazil until the end of the season.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, and even Barcelona had shown interest in the youngster, who has been capped for Brazil's U23 side.
'I’m very happy to be joining Paris Saint-Germain. This is one of the best days of my life,' he said.
The deal includes around £1.7m in potential add-ons.
Moscardo has accumulated experience in Brazil's Serie A and South America's continental competitions with Corinthians.
His signing was initially put on hold as medical tests revealed a foot fracture.
Prior reports suggested Chelsea were leading the race for him but PSG appeared to move into pole position in December.
Moscardo added: 'I'm looking forward to joining up with the squad and to meeting the team and the coaching staff, and I hope to win many trophies with Les Rouge et Bleu and to make the fans happy.'
PSG are first in Ligue 1 after a pick-up in form and are eight points clear of Nice, ther nearest challenger.
Luis Enrique's side are unbeaten in 12 games and scraped into the last 16 of the Champions League after draws with Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund to end the group stage.

If you won't play him why sign him??? Naturally smaller clubs would buy young players with huge potential for cheap then sell to bigger clubs at high value. And that is the business process, because the small clubs provide a better chance for growth and development as well as game time. But things are changing because big clubs like Madrid, City, Bayern have cracked the code of turning young players with huge potential into top performing superstars.
