Sergio Ramos admits Real Madrid players feel 'f****d' after Chelsea defeat but issues rallying cry

Sergio Ramos has conceded Real Madrid feel 'f****d' following their Champions League defeat against Chelsea, but urged the side to bounce back and secure the LaLiga title.

Club captain Ramos, 35, returned to the Spanish giants' starting team against the Blues on Wednesday but could not prevent a 2-0 loss, with goals from Timo Werner and Mason Mount knocking out the record 13-time European champions.

The centre half, who is out of contract at the end of the season, posted on Instagram beginning with the Spanish swear word 'Jodidos' to summarise the disappointment in the Los Blancos camp, with more than a million likes already.

But Ramos gave his team-mates a passionate rallying cry, encouraging them to respond to the defeat by beating rivals Atletico Madrid and Barcelona to domestic victory.

The caption read: 'F****d, yes. But we're not finished. A history built on victories but #realmadrid has always risen from defeats.

'The league title is still there for us and we're up for it. #HalaMadrid.'

The Spanish giants drew 1-1 in the first leg on April 27, giving them a decent shot of making the final, but were consistently outclassed against Thomas Tuchel's men.

Despite talismanic defender Ramos returning to the XI, Real looked defensively vulnerable and could have lost by a larger margin were it not for the profligacy of Kai Havertz and N'Golo Kante.

Zinedine Zidane's side currently lie second in LaLiga, level on points with Barcelona, with both teams two points off leaders Atletico Madrid.

Los Blancos have a tricky end to the season, with their final four games coming against Sevilla, Granada, Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal, all of whom are ninth or above and have a shot at securing European football.
