Tottenham's new right back Pedro Porro was heavily criticised by Tim Sherwood on Saturday after Spurs lost 4-1 to Leicester on the 23-year-old's club debut.
Porro joined the North London side on deadline day for £42 million, taking the club's spending on right backs past £100m in under four years.
Despite the new addition, Spurs crumbled throughout the game as Namalys Mendy, James Maddison, Kelechi Iheanacho and Harvey Barnes all got on the scoresheet in a rampant Foxes win.
Tottenham's Assistant manager Cristian Stellini apologised after the loss and admitted the performance 'wasn't good enough'.
Sherwood, who managed Tottenham in the 2013-14 season, was unforgiving in his assessment of Porro's debut.
Despite saying he 'didn't want to pick on the kid' and promising to give him 'the benefit of the doubt', the 54-year-old told Sky Sports: [Porro is] all over the place.
'I mean, if you thought someone was going to come in for Antonio Conte, you'd have thought they'd be good at defending.
'The boy just wants to run forward, he wants to play as a winger, he's getting the ball played inside him, he's going to ground at the wrong time, Harvey Barnes is having a field day out there.'
As the game progressed and Leicester extended their lead, Sherwood added: 'Pedro Porro is so bad, it's unbelievable. His positioning is absolutely disgusting. Barnes and Maddison are destroying him down the left-hand side.'
The loss will be a big blow to Spurs fans as it comes after an impressive win over Manchester City last week, and Newcastle's draw with Bournemouth on Saturday means a Tottenham win would have put them fourth in the league.
Antonio Conte's side will next be in Premier League action when they face West Ham next Sunday.

Unpredictable English Premier League Football, great in one game, a bloody flop in another and then bounces back with another win and another disappointing draw or defeat and it goes on and on.
