When is the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2021?

With Euro 2020 and Copa América already underway, thoughts are also on who will become the continental champion of the Americas and the Caribbean.

CONCACAF announced on 13 May the official schedule for the 2021 Gold Cup, which will take place from 10 July to 1 August and, for the first time in its history, will have a preliminary phase, which be played between 2 and 6 July. This phase will determine the remaining teams that will join the group stage of the tournament that is being held in the United States.

Gold Cup: the groups are set

The confederation for North and Central America and the Caribbean revealed the official schedule for the sixteenth edition of its most important national team tournament, as well as the venues of each group and details of the elimination rounds. The final will be held on 1 August at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada,


The ball will start rolling on 2 July with the match between Haiti and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the opening match of the preliminary phase, from which four teams will join the 12 teams already qualified for the group stage. The groups will be competed from 10 to 20 July, with the elimination round to be played from 24 to 1 August.

Here are the dates and venues for each round of the next Gold Cup:

Mexico, El Salvador, Curaçao and a team to be announced

Venues: Toyota Stadium, AT&T Stadium and Cotton Bowl

United States, Canada, Matinica and Selection to be determined

Venues: Children's Mercy Park and Toyota Stadium

Costa Rica, Jamaica, Suriname and Selection to be determined

Venues: Exporia Stadium and BBVA Stadium

Honduras, Panama, Grenada and Qatar

Venues: Exporia Stadium and BBVA Stadium

Dates: 24 and 25 July

Venues: State Farm Stadium and AT&T Stadium, Texas

Dates: 29 July

Date: 1 August
