In the Arsenal match programme's column, Odegaard provided an update on his recovery progress.

Odegaard stated: "I'm very keen to rejoin the squad for matches as soon as possible, but for now I'm still focusing on my rehabilitation. Everything is progressing well and I've made significant strides."

"This week I've started increasing my activity levels and have been using the anti-gravity treadmill for running drills. I can feel the recovery advancing steadily – each day at the training ground I'm able to complete more tasks, which feels fantastic."

"The recovery process is demanding, but witnessing tangible progress is truly rewarding – it fuels your motivation."

"With this type of injury, pinpointing an exact return date is challenging, particularly as it involves my left leg. Much will depend on how I respond once back on the training pitch."

"Sometimes when you start passing or shooting with the injured leg, you experience noticeable soreness, so it's genuinely difficult to provide a precise timeline at this stage."

"What I can say now is that the recovery is progressing very well indeed. I think once I'm back on the training pitch, we'll have a clearer picture. If everything goes smoothly, the return could be quicker than anticipated."
