Emmanuel Petit struck a figure of disbelief during RMC Sport‘s AfterFoot show (the French equivalent of Talk Sport) in the aftermath of Paris Saint-Germain’s loss to Liverpool. The former Arsenal, Chelsea, and AS Monaco man was impressed by Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who he considers the key man in the Reds‘ victory over Les Parisiens. The Brazilian said himself to TNT Sports post-match that he had perhaps made the best performance of his career.“Alisson, his performance was just incredible, that’s all,” said Petit following Liverpool’s 1-0 win over PSG at the Parc des Princes last night. “He was on fire. He had everyone reeling. If he doesn’t make those exceptional saves . . . The Parisians pushed Liverpool around as I have never seen them do since the start of the season. You don’t realise how well PSG are doing.““I watch Liverpool play every weekend in the Premier League (…) If Alisson has an average day, Liverpool get four,” continued the RMC Sport pundit. “Even with a good collective defence, there was still the X factor behind them. They never panicked, but if you don’t have Alisson… When you see how firm a hand he had on all the saves. He was monstrous.”GFFN | George Boxall

the best team doesn't always win and the most important thing is a win, remember the final of Liverpool vs Madrid, we dominated the game but eventually lost n all people remember now is that Madrid was champions n not the performance

Psg had quality while Liverpool had experience. Experience always makes the difference
